My Opinion Counts

You may have noticed that I write about things that impress me and about things that I want others to know about. I get paid to write some of these posts. I try to maintain an honest view on those products. Since an advertiser is paying for a write up, I'm sure that they wouldn't like it if I said negative things about their company and product.

That is why I only choose products for which I can give a positive review. Some things I am not knowledgeable of but if I can learn about them and incorporate their value into something in my life, I write a post about it. For instance, I have never been to Tuscany, Italy. I wrote an article about how I would love to go to Tuscany and visit the mountains and see the country. I don't know much about computer software. If I am asked to write about a piece of software and I can find out how it works and what benefit it could afford my business I write that.

It is fun to write and learn about new things. I'm amazed about how much more I know about different subjects as compared to a year ago. I have learned about different types of mortgages. I have expressed my feelings about the dangers of debt. I've even written about dating services! Who knew there were so many different types!

It is fun to grow.

Yay! I can now specify my blog's URL and Blogger will redirect my feed's traffic. This means I'll no longer have some subscribers getting my Blogger-hosted feed while others get my FeedBurner feed, and my subscriber count should (as a result) be more accurate.

To enable this functionality, visit your blog's Settings | Site Feed page, and enter your feed's address in the "Post Feed Redirect URL" field.

I have found a great way to earn some extra money! I love to write on my blog and whenever I find great new things that I like, I want to let my readers know about them. If I find a bit of news that is interesting, I want to share it. Advertisers are trying to find ways to get the news out about their products. I was very apprehensive because my other blog is on it's own domain but it sure wasn't easy getting there.

One of my favorite blogs to read is Shadowscope. He talks about things straight from the heart. He even feels guilty about getting sleep the way I am always whining about relaxing. I love his point of view on things even if I cringe a little at the f word being used. I just don't throw that word around. His site is beautiful with it's black and orange tones. You would think it would be bright and buggy but it is actually soft and easy to the eye. His links are all lined up making it easy to find what you want to check out. He doesn't have a bunch of junk all over his blog. I like that. Check it out. He had a really interesting night last night. Yikes!

My friend Kat has been dealing with a maniac who takes her information and pictures from her blog and puts them on a horrible hate forum. I don't understand why people would perpetuate hate. I just do not get it. Kat is a great person who has helped me understand the web and how to make my blog be the most it can be. She loves her kids. Even if she was a mean person, why would someone feel they have the right to use her as a mechanism for their own joy. That wouldn't make me happy. I guess I don't understand a mind like that. Kat was on the Good Morning America show today and gave a little bit of her opinion on the subject. She didn't even mention the maniac's name or website. I'll bet that just killed him. Ha!
