Sprucing Up

A huge grocery store in our town closed their doors and moved into a new building across the street. For years that building sat empty and the parking lot fell into a mess of potholes. It really made that end of town look bad.

Last fall a local gas station owner built on one corner of the lot and made the area so nice with landscaping and such. Now, a new eye clinic has built on another corner. Because it was starting to look so nice it attracted a gymnastic company who opened a business in part of the old grocery that had been sectioned off for smaller businesses. That corner is bustling now and looks so nice. It really looks nice now.

Go Colts

I wish I understood more about football. When I was in high school and junior high, we learned how to play basketball, volleyball and soccer in gym class. I suppose being a girl played an important part in why we never played football in class. I think that these days they don't limit girls as much as they did in the 60's and 70's. At least I hope they don't. I never learned the ins and outs of the game. I don't understand the penalties and the yardage stuff. I will watch the Colts play this afternoon and while I won't really know what is going on I will get caught up in the excitement and root them on. GO COLTS! No weird fumbles and mistakes ok?

Stick It

While my daughter was here we watched a couple of movies. One that I really enjoyed was Stick It. It is all about gymnastics. It really makes you want to get into shape. If you need some motivation this is the movie to watch. At the end they showed the real gymnasts who did the actual gymnastic routines. Oh my gosh are they amazing! They were former medal winning athletes and college gymnasts. The rigorous training they go through is to be admired.
