Mom and I attended an embroidery seminar yesterday. We don't do machine embroidery but the seminar gave us some great tips for sewing. We make quilts and hand quilt them. One idea we got was how to use a device to keep our thread from tangling. We learned some new things yesterday.

In our business we sell to landlords. Many of these landlords are complaining because their renters don't treat their homes very well. After they move, the landlords find out all the damage that has been done to their home and have to make repairs. They don't want to buy high quality merchandise for fear it will be torn up. I can't blame them. I was a good renter. I would have been embarrassed to leave a home that I rented in bad condition. A place that I had rented was usually in better shape after I moved out. That's just the way I do things.

Last night's rain was the weirdest thing. We could look out the west windows of our sunroom and see the rain pouring down. When we looked out the north windows, it wasn't raining at all! It was so strange looking.

Elsie killed a baby bunny last night. I think she tries to play with them but she is rough. Her jaws are very strong. When she plays with me I can feel the strength as she tries to bend my finger while playing. The poor bunny went into spasms and started doing backflips across the yard. I had never seen such a thing. Unfortunately it died. It was an eerie feeling to watch something breath it's last breath. The poor thing.

I think I backed up my database on my own domain blog. I don't know how to tell if it worked. I'll probably be searching all day to find information. Ugh. If anyone uses iPower as their host and has their domain there AND would be willing to help me, I sure would appreciate some help.

All the snowbirds have arrived back home from their winter down south. I've been hearing some real horror stories about the places they stayed. I don't know why they don't buy something affordable instead of renting. They should check the Florida Real Estate Directory and find a place they can call their own. The directory is free and contains over 20 areas to check out. It is such an easy site to use. Our favorite area in Florida is Fort Myers. I clicked on Fort Myers and it listed so many real estate companies that want me to use them to find a place to buy in Florida. It was fun to check out my dream place on the water.

I have always been interested in different cultures. I find that the different foods are fabulous. The deep rich flavor of the sauces is so different than anything I can come up with in my kitchen. I suppose I don't know how to use just the right amount of curry or marjoram that I suspect is in the oriental dishes I have tried.

Sarois, sp? and sarongs are fashioned out of the most exquisite fabric you can imagine. I can't imagine picking from the brocades available in most foreign countries. Our cottons don't hold a candle to what is available.
