Typing Away

For those of you who recommended Adobe Acrobat for my antiquated bookkeeping techniques, I checked into it. I guess maybe I'm cheap but for $299.00 I will plug along with my typewriter. That price isn't too bad if we were a bigger operation but I can't justify it for the amount of payroll I take care of. Oh well, maybe someday. Thanks.

Indian Givers

At least
they
were classy enough to do it face-to-face...
In June, National Semiconductor boosts morale by handing every employee a 30-gigabyte iPod, for which it makes computer chips.

In July, National lays off 35 employees - and demands their iPods back, claiming that the portable music players are company "equipment." Isn't that just the most selfish thing you've heard of?

Colts

It is fun to be living in Indiana! Go Colts!

Go Colts

I wish I understood more about football. When I was in high school and junior high, we learned how to play basketball, volleyball and soccer in gym class. I suppose being a girl played an important part in why we never played football in class. I think that these days they don't limit girls as much as they did in the 60's and 70's. At least I hope they don't. I never learned the ins and outs of the game. I don't understand the penalties and the yardage stuff. I will watch the Colts play this afternoon and while I won't really know what is going on I will get caught up in the excitement and root them on. GO COLTS! No weird fumbles and mistakes ok?
