Save Energy

Last night while Lynn and I were shopping, we talked about replacing our store light bulbs with energy efficient ones. Greg did that in his apartment and his first electric bill was cheap! Replacing the bulbs that came in the apartment with LED bulbs seems to have made a big difference. There are many choices of bulbs for various situations. Some bulbs like the 5W LED E27 Edison Light Bulb are used in work places while others are for residential use. It is easy to find the bulb that fits your spot best. Do your part to reduce your establishment's carbon footprint on the earth, giving your business the environmentally responsible stature it deserves! Section9 LED is your source to saving energy and money.

Needed: One Desk

Since we put the new room on we moved our furniture around and what was the family room is now my office. I still have my old computer desk but I need more working space. I currently have two plastic folding tables set up. It looks pretty junky. I've been thinking about getting a nice desk and found this one at Sam's Club. I looked at Staples but all they have are more like student desks with the hutch on top. I want something sturdier. This desk has a place for my desk top computer tower and has access to the tower back. I would like not having to pull the tower out to get to the plugins. It also has a drawer for files. I am seriously thinking of running over to Sam's Club with the truck and getting the desk.

Investing In Real Estate

Sometimes you need to take a bigger step than you are used to in order to reap the benefits. Really though, real estate investing has been proven to be one of the safest yet most beneficial ways to invest. Lynn and I like to throw around the idea of buying a fixer upper house and then re-selling it for a profit. The REIClub Newsletter has listings of seminars that I would want to attend before we attempt something like that. I want as much information as possible.

The REIClub Newsletter is full of valuable information whether you are just getting your feet wet or are a seasoned real estate investor. Their newsletter has so much information on the latest trends. When you understand how the cycles go in real estate, you can make an informed decision on what style of house and in what areas are the best to buy. The newsletter has information about upcoming teleseminars that can help you learn all about investing in real estate. Check out REIClub Newsletter for great advice, tips, and resources.

Being informed is the key to success in the Real Estate Investment market. There is money to be made.

Mom probably did it

It makes me sick to hear about the man and woman in Portugal. All this time they knew that the killer was one of them. Yet, they let the whole world be upset that someone would steal a child from a hotel room. All those people frantically searching for days. How could they stand by and watch that happening. They are sick.

When You Need the Best

We never know when something might happen when we will need a lawyer. If I ever find myself in that position, I want to be represented by attorneys with the experience comparable to the experience of the gentlemen in that picture. All were former prosecutors. That means they have dealt with a lot with reference to our laws. These Los Angeles Criminal Attorneys | California Criminal Defense Lawyers | Felony Misdemeanor DUI Specialists possess over 50 years experience when it comes to litigating criminal cases. That expertise is what I want if ever needed. Check with Kestenbaum Eisner & Gorin LLP for the best representation.

Bloggers Are Buzzing

The world of entertainment is changing. Want to take a guess why? Ding, ding, ding! It's because of the Internet.

We know that because, we bloggers use the Internet! The rest of the world is just catching up.

Media conglomerates are going to great lengths to take advantage of the Internet's ability to generate buzz. Maybe the media, including the music industry, should use PayPerPost like the group The Police did.

The article in the Wall Street Journal on Thursday, made it sound like the buzz was all due to YouTube. These people need to look around and see what bloggers are talking about. If they want to get a buzz going about something, get in contact with one of us!

My Indian Place Website

As a person with a little Indian blood, I am excited to have found a website that celebrates all things Indian. This website should be introduced to school systems as a tool for learning about the Indian culture. MyIndianPlace.com is a compilation of many services. There is a tab for blogs that you might like to read to meet people and see how they feel about things. You might want to enter your blog and become one of 131 blogs listed thus far.

The events calendar will help everyone get together to work on important issues and come together as a community. This website is going to be a great force to work on issues to help everyone. The classified section allows members to list things for sale as well as post job listings and housing availability. It also lists services available such as childcare.

The entertainment and arts group listed on the Group tab took me to some hilarious videos. There is some good and clean entertainment to be enjoyed here.

MyIndianPlace.com is a great social networking site and is going to be a great source for information and entertainment. Spread the word about this great informative and easy to use site.

Not the Smartest Apple in the Barrel

They say that one bad apple doesn't make the whole bunch bad but this Apple sure makes things stink. Wouldn't you be disgusted if you paid the regular, full price for the new iPhone to see that they reduced the price by $200.00? It caused their stock to drop by 5.1%. That doesn't make it's investors too happy. Chief Executive Steve Jobs said that this wasn't done because of lagging sales. Apple had said that they could meet a goal of shipping one million iPhones by the end of this month. He said they could have still met that quota even if they didn't cut the price. Excuse me? Someone is delusional here.

I'm happy for the people who were waiting to buy iPhones and the people who were waiting to buy iPhones for Christmas gifts. They just saved $200.00.

Anti-Slam Protection

I think it stinks that we have to take the responsibility to keep our phone service from being slammed. I think that when companies want to be our long distance provider they should have to ask. I just spent the last 15 minutes on the phone verifying who I am. Then I had to talk to a third party to say that yes, I want anti-slamming protection on my phone service. Sheesh. There is something wrong with this picture.

Real Estate Investing

There is an informative website, Real Estate Alley.com where you can gain valuable information to assist you with all aspects of real estate. If you are interested in real estate investing, you should become a member of the forums at VBulletin. There are many different sections that will help you learn how to begin and become the best at investing in real estate. This website is a must have site for becoming a guru in real estate. The site is very easy to use so don't put it off. Join and become a part of the action. Learn and participate.

Make the Sale

Mom bought a new laptop yesterday. We had to practically beg the salesman to write it up! I guess he never took that course where they taught you how to close the sale. I finally said, "come on lets close this sale!" I said it jokingly but my goodness, we could have walked out and I don't think he would have cared. Maybe commission is a good way to pay employees.

Blog Directories

What are your favorite directories? Do you ever use them to find blogs? I have added mine to Dmoz, Geeky Speaky, Pajama Mama, Quinky Links, Quadium and Grockodile. Some of those names might not be exactly right since I am trying to remember off the top of my head and I've only had a half a cup of coffee so far. I'll look them up and add some links in case you would like to submit your blogs to them. Most of the directories I have listed are ones that my blogging friends manage. Most of them have forums where you can gain a lot of good information and get help when needed. Blogging friends are the bestest!

Learn From This Blog

I spend an enormous amount of time researching ways to improve my blogging. I am always reading information on how page rank is determined and how good blogging makes a blog popular with readers. There are many technology and marketing blogs but non are as popular as DataBanq Media. This blog has great insight on a wide variety of subjects that deal with marketing and social networking to name just two. The value of the individual bloggers presented by DataBanq Media is what makes this blog anything but just an Internet Marketing Blog.

For example,David's post, The-Creation-of-Orphan-Pages-and-How-They-Affect-Supplementals-and-Rankings Rankings, was something that I had never encountered and was intrigued at how this all worked. David Bayer's position on how orphan pages affect a blog got me wondering if I shouldn't get right on the situation and check to see if my blog was suffering from "supplemental hell". I don't want my blog's rankings to suffer from these types of pages.

The DataBanq Media blog is definitely a blog to learn from and put to work to improve a blog. I learned so much just from the first two pages!

Yummy Blizzard

My mom and I are Blizzard addicts. We admit it! We know all the flavors and have our favorites. Mom got a coupon because it was her birthday and we couldn't wait to get our free blizzard. It was a buy one get one free deal.

We drove up to the DQ and there were cars lined up. There are apparently more addicts that were needing their fix. They FINALLY got their orders and it was our turn.

I wanted a Chocolate Cherry Love Blizzard but it wasn't on the menu. I was disappointed and so I asked for that flavor. The girl said sure, she could make it! Woo hoo! I try not to ooh and ah after every delicious spoonful. I wanted to get a large but since mom said a regular sized would suit her, I decided not to be a total pig and got the regular size also.

It was a great Blizzardry Day!

Steve Fossett

I was thinking, this morning, about Steve Fossett and the fact that he has been missing since Monday. I wondered why they can't find something as big as a plane. I searched online and found that the place where they think he may have crashed is a high desert region, which is covered with sagebrush and hides deep ravines. That would make it hard to see a plane from the air. It is not a populated area that a person might happen upon a plane. It is so sad.

Blogger and Malware

Before clicking here to write this post, I caught a glimpse of information Blogger has on their Dashboard. Bloggers are upset because of an incident that happened. Malicious software spammed every address in some blogspot blog owner's address books with its content, a copy of that email was posted to their blog.

I'm reading into this to see just what went on and if I need to be concerned. Did anyone have issues with this?

This is the first I heard about the problem.

Unique Groomsmen Gifts

Greg and I were just discussing some of the rules of etiquette when planning a wedding. His wedding is in 2009 so we have time to figure things out but I was wondering a few things. The selection of Unique Groomsmen Gifts at Executive Gifts Shoppe is going to come in handy. It is hard to think of something that is memorable yet useful. This website has nice things that are very useful. I love the Swiss Army knife. I think many men would love receiving one. The prices are great!

Melancholy

I got choked up when it was time to say good bye to Greg yesterday. You think just because they are 22 years old it should be ok to leave them but it isn't. He loves it there and loves his apartment. It's just too far away. Three and a half hours takes a long time to drive.

Zarabella Offers Beautiful Baby Clothing

Aw! I just found a website that has the most adorable baby clothing. ZaraBella.com Baby Boutique has so many cute things. They divide their clothing by company styles so it is easy to find that special outfit you've wanted. Their tabs sort the categories New Arrivals, Kids, Baby, Jewelry, Home Decor, Gifts and my favorite, Sale. The website offers Live Chat for those times when you just aren't sure about something. They also have help to aid you with sizes.

I clicked on Diaper Dude and found the cutest diaper bag.

They also have a category called Baby No Tag. I like the little outfits because they have no tag! Seriously, they have no tag to irritate your baby. That is a wonderful idea.

This is a wonderful website where it is easy to find what you are looking for. They offer free shipping on orders over $75.00 and they accept all of the major credit cards.

Zucchini

We have tried and tried to grow vegetable but we don't have any luck. Our ground is hard and full of clay. I suppose we need to mix some dirt in with it but we were hoping to be able to stick some plants in, water them and eat from their harvest. It didn't work out that way so we rely on friends and neighbors for donations. Once in a while we get a nice zucchini. I love to fry slices of zucchini with tomatoes. You can make a batter and fry them but I just put a little butter in a pan and fry them in that.
