My Opinion Counts

Tonight, when I drove in the driveway, there was a little black and white dog sitting in the front yard. My heart did a flip flop. Brodie had gotten out and Lynn didn't realize he was missing. I am so thankful he didn't go down to the road.

I swear, it would be much easier to have a cute little Alpaca Direct Teddy Bear. They are soft and cuddly and stay where you put them!

My other hobby is scrapbooking. My friend, Tina and I try to work on our scrapbooks but it is so hard to find time. We have the perfect place to work on our scrapbooks. We can leave all of our supplies out and come back to them when we have a chance. We don't have to pack everything up and then get it out again. That became a problem for us. We didn't like having to pull everything out to work on it. We are spoiled!

With the changes made in banking lately, it is important to look at your finances. Check to make sure that your credit cards have the lowest interest rate available. The Co-operative Bank is offering cards with 0% on purchases and balance transfers for six months. Personally, I am interested in their card that earns money for an organization. I like to donate to a worthwhile cause when I use my credit card. Check with Co-operative and make sure you are getting the best deal. They have a card that fits everyone. I don't get much quilting done since I found the Internet but I did make this quilt for my daughter. Her sofa is plum and our dog is a Boston Terrier. I machine quilted this quilt with varigated thread. It was a fun quilt to make even though while I was making it I swore I would never make pinwheels again!

Tonight, at the quilt guild meeting, we offered tips to better quilting. I think the most important one I heard is that when I am sewing and the tip of the material just won't grab, I should start with a scrap of material first. Start sewing with the scrap and then guide the piece I am having trouble getting to grab.

Another way to get a piece to sew better is to use wax paper to sew with. One lady said that when she presses her quilt pieces, she runs her iron over a fabric softener sheet. It makes an iron glide better.

The leader of our guild had just returned from a quilt demonstration held in Knoxville, Tennessee. Ricky Timms gave demonstrations and she came back with lots of new ideas and things to show us.

This will be an amazing feature for businesses who have a service to offer. They will be able to tell of specials and announce new features. This age of technology keeps getting better and better!

That is a good idea! While most horoscopes are so general that they can apply to most everyone. We all can take a good idea and implement it.

When the kids were little, my mother in-law ordered some very special books for them. These books were special because within the story their names were added. They loved theirPersonalized Christmas Story Book. They were so surprised when they discovered that they were part of the story. I recently discovered where to order these books.

If you order soon, you could have a copy of “My Special Christmas Adventure” in time for Christmas. They have other titles in the My Adventure Book series as well. My kid's books were about dinosaurs. I put them in their keepsake boxes so they can enjoy them with their own children.

I found out some sad news today. The doctor who delivered both of my children died in an automobile accident. This man was not only a great doctor but he cared about people. He was an advocate for hospice and went out of his way to educate the public on how the hospice theory worked. He had retired once saying that he was tired of all the bureaucracy the government placed on doctors. He felt like all he got done was filling out paperwork. He couldn't stand being retired. He went back into practice.

When Stacy made pizzas at a big box club years ago, she had the funniest thing happen. A fellow worker shared how her gold nipple rings would freeze when she went into the cooler! Stacy was so embarrassed that this gal felt the need to share this information. LOL

When I sell area rugs to customers it is helpful when they can see the actual rug. I have allowed customers to take rugs home to see how they look in their home. It is hard to visualize what something will look like. Floor covering makes a big difference in how a room looks. I wish we could install wall to wall carpet and change it to show how it looks the way we can with an area rug!

I have been telling everyone I know that they need to get a Dell Computer. You should hear all the people on the boards I chat on. They love their Dell Computers. I thought it would be fun to show you how the French order their Dell desktops. "Offres pour l'entreprise." I don't know what that means but that is the most beautiful language! If people in France are smart and getting their Dell computer, what are you waiting for? Dell offers great support and technical service. Their machines are well built and you can add to them. They have laptops as well as desktop pc's. I think you need one of each! Dude! You need a Dell.

I am fighting this dadgum toenail fungus again. My big toe looks like it has a big bruise under the nail but it is really caused by fungus. I was able to lift the toenail up entirely so I cut it off. Now it is bleeding. I hope I didn't make a mess of things. It looks gross and is bleeding. I poured peroxide on it. Lovely way to start the day.

I am playing catchup with my house today. I was gone all weekend and now I have to do laundry and dishes. I thought my laundry was done and no one was here to dirty up these dishes! I don't know how this happens.

I scrubbed down the siding on the porch this morning. I am in my work clothes and I probably look all disheveled now. We have white siding and the flies leave their little specs on it. If I let it go our siding will look terrible.

I just want to take a nap.
