Text to Speech Software

Can you imagine being read to when you need to grasp important information. As you shower or get ready for work you can be listening to important information instead of getting ready for work and then having to allow time to sit and read something. Talk about a great timesaver! Residing in your windows tray, this Text to Speech software is always ready to be utilized. It can read anything you would normally read from your pc. Text to Speech software reads it aloud on your PC. This easy to use software has the capability of saving your daily reading to MP3 audio files to download to your portable MP3 player. That gives you the option of listening to the things you normally read, while taking a jog or walking the dog! Amazing!

It's Gone

My friend's daughter is losing their house. They have refinanced so many times that they have no equity in it. Their payments are too large for them to pay and he lost his job due to a back injury. They can't afford the upkeep so the house is falling apart around them. It is a rough situation. I hope they can find a nice place to rent and get back on their feet. I can't imagine how rough this would be.

Help With Foreclosure

Tonight's conversation focused around a good friend of ours who is losing their home. Foreclosure has become a word of which all of us are becoming accustomed. Years ago, if someone had their home foreclosed on it meant they were unstable or didn't manage their money very well. These days many are losing their homes because the banks made it look so easy to get loans and pay low payments. They never expected the rates to go as high as they have. They simply cannot afford the payments. Many don't have enough equity in the home to sell and gain anything. With the amount of homes for sale there are not enough buyers to buy the homes that might keep someone from being foreclosed upon. It is a very sad situation.

If you know of someone who is facing a foreclosure of their home, tell them to go to GotTrouble.com. There aren't very many places online that can walk you through the steps and ease your anxiety like GotTrouble.com. They are the premier destination for information on Foreclosure. GotTrouble.com knows how to deal with the lender, and state specific laws. Don't feel like you are alone. Let GotTrouble.com help you.

Oink

We had a great dinner tonight to help my friend, Tina, celebrate her birthday. Her birthday is tomorrow but we are all going different directions and tonight was a relaxed evening. Tina loves to eat at Red Lobster so that's where we went. We started off with strawberry smoothies followed by a shrimp appetizer. Then we each ordered these big meals that I could barely eat. I was stuffed! I wanted to save room for birthday cake which I had at home. We had a great time laughing and eating and then came to our house so she could open gifts. Then we forced ourselves to eat cake and ice cream. Oink Oink!

Follow This Blogger

I had a lot of fun checking out a fun LA guy's blog. It is sort of a travel blog because it has some cool video of places he has gone and people he has met. I loved looking at the beautiful beaches of Mykonos. Seeing the European party spots through his lens gives you a real sense of being there. It's a fun blog and you can travel on his money! Check out his blog.

That's Life

My eyes have gotten to the point where I need reading glasses to see the computer and read the paper. I had Lasik eye surgery done about 7 years ago. It has been great to not have to wear glasses or contacts. When you get past 40 years of age, your eyes change and it seems that your arms aren't long enough anymore! I've been buying cheapo readers at the drugstore and everywhere else. I have them all over the house.

I went in to have my eyes examined and the doctor said I'm a perfect candidate for the CK procedure. I'll have to think on that.

It isn't fun getting older. Your eyes change and your body hurts. LOL

Need A Mattress?

Gallery Furniture is one of the most unique furniture stores I have ever seen. They have a tennis court and a play area that your children can visit while you look for furniture. They also have a cafeteria where you can grab a bite to eat while you ponder your choices of great furniture. They also offer the use of motorized carts for your special needs.

I've been checking out their TempurPedic mattress. We need to get Greg something firmer for his bed. My friend has a TempurPedic mattress and she loves it. She said she never has back pain like she used to. I think of buying a mattress as an investment. It is an important item that can make a big difference in how much rest you get.

I'm looking at this daybed to put in the spare bedroom. I think it would work great for when we have overnight guests. I don't want a full bed in that room because it is a small room. I'd like to have room to put a desk or dresser.

If you are contemplating a new furniture purchase, you should check out Gallery Furniture. You will love this Houston furniture store. They have everything!

Birthday Celebration

Tomorrow is my friend, Tina's, birthday. Her husband has to go out of town so we are going to celebrate this evening.

Tina has been very down in the dumps because she found out that her daughter is using meth. Her daughter is 40 something but it doesn't make it any easier to know that she is, again, messing up her life.

We are joining Tina and her husband for dinner tonite and then come back to our house to watch an Anita Renfrow video. Anita Renfrow is a very funny christian comedian. I hope the video cheers Tina up some.

Electronic Closing

In order to reduce paper use and keep everything green, it is important that all data be maintained without it having to be printed and stored in file cabinets. Some things are already stored that way but electronic closing on mortgages is just now using that path. Encomia is trying to get all the mortgage lenders to convert to this time saving and resource saving electronic closing system. In the traditional paper-based mortgage process, loan documents are created, executed, and stored as paper files. In the eMortgage and process with electronic closing, loan documents are converted to an electronic format known as a SMARTDoc. We just need to get the word out!

Darn Toy Suppliers and Mfgs.

I am very concerned about all these toy recalls. Fisher Price has issued recalls on some of their toys because they were manufactured with lead paint. Now I read, in our local paper, that Mattel has to recall some toys too. All were manufactured in China but by different manufacturers. Did they just now catch them using lead paint or did they just start using lead paint? Did the paint supplier just start adding lead to the paint? I have questions.

I purchased a baby shower gift at Walmart last night. It was made by Fisher Price. Can I be sure that this toy is ok?

Kids Learn to Manage Their Money

If you ever need ideas on how to help your kids learn how to manage their money, check out the Chores and Allowances blog. This blogger has some great ideas on how to teach your kids how to save and earn money. The author recommends prepaid teen card to help your teen learn how to work to put money on the card. By logging on to the website, and creating an account for your teen, you are creating a learning experience. You list the chores they will have to do, and then they have to log in and check them off as they are completed. You make deposits to your teen’s PAYjr. card to pay for the chores they complete, and you can both track the balances online. This is so much better than trying to teach them how keeping a balance makes them a good customer. Many kids, including mine, waste so much money as they find out the hard way that even if you only go one dollar under the balance in your account you will be charged an NSF fee. For a teen, or anyone for that matter, it is a hard lesson. Check out the blog and see what a great idea this system is.

Babies and Their Toys

We just got back from the store where I picked out a gift for a baby shower. Thank goodness the mom-to-be had registered at a store. I had trouble picking something out even though I had a list in my hand. I have not looked at baby things in so long that I had no idea what some of the things were. I kept looking at the list and then looking at all the items up and down the aisles. I had trouble finding things that matched. LOL

I saw an amazing baby item. It was a crib mobile that had a remote control! No more sneaking in and re-winding the mobile. Ha! That was a feat to achieve!

Divine Caroline

There are many times when I wanted reinforcement from someone to say that the way I handled something with my child is what they would have done. Parenting Tips and Advice is a wonderful online website that has great information for parents. I also helps you not feel alone while raising a child. The articles on this website are informative and some are funny. We all need an approving nod and a bit of laughter while raising kids. Divine Caroline will definitely give you both. Is He the Tallest Man?

A man who says he's 7ft 9in is claiming to be the world's largest living man.

Hussain Bisad is from Somalia in East Africa but is living in London.

The 27-year-old has size 26 feet and is still growing. Hussain is now taller than a phone box but Bisad now has to prove that he measures up.

Officially, the current record holder is 7ft 8in Tunisian Radhouane Charbib. Reports that I found on the Internet say that Leonid Stadnik of the Ukraine is also the official tallest living man. Xi Shun of China also claims to have beaten Radhouane as the world's tallest living man.

And Guinness World Records says Bisad will have to be measured four times over two days to see if he's taller than Radhouane.

Doctors say he could be suffering from a rare and dangerous condition which makes people keep growing after they should have stopped.

The world's largest ever man was American Robert Wadlow, who died in 1940, at 8ft 11ins.

Staying One Step Ahead

There is a great website that will help you be more informed when purchasing prescriptions. CompareOp is an informative comparison site as well as a forum. By using the forum, you can communicate with others who order their medications online. Learn what positive and negative things they have to say. Learn from their experiences and hopefully save you the hassles that others have had. CompareOp will give you a more positive experience with ordering medications online. The section called "Our Information" includes all information and updates that they want to communicate to you. All other forums are open for discussions.Online pharmacy news gives updates on shortages of medications. That way you can prepare and keep one step ahead of the suppliers when you need your medication. There are discussions on prices of medications so you can tell if you are receiving the best price on your medications. Especially important are the notifications of websites that do not practice good customer service or have other problems. You can avoid those places because you know the ins and outs of such websites. This website will help you get the best prices and customer service as you try to stay healthy by taking your medications as your doctor orders.

If He Did It

Did you see where OJ Simpson's book If I Did It, is going to be published? The rights were given to the Goldmans as part of the suit they filed against Simpson concerning the death of their son. I hope they make a bunch of money. OJ won't get a dime. He is manipulating things to make his bank accounts look as if he is broke. He is doing that because Goldmans were awarded money from him. He says he can't pay them because he is broke. That is a bunch of bullcrap.

Warranties

I never believed much in buying warranties. I bought an extended one on my laptop. I don't know very much about the workings of laptops or desktop computers so I thought it would be a good idea to insure that it could be worked on for a reasonable price it the need arises.

Don't Forget the Codes!

I kick myself when I shop online but forget to check for a coupon code. It is just crazy to do that. It is throwing money down the drain when I don't use a coupon code to save on the amount of an item or the shipping. At Rather-Be-Shopping.com you will find great coupons. American Eagle Coupons saved me so much money during the last round of birthdays. Don't spend more than you have to. Use your savings to buy chocolate!

Hurry Up and Wait

What normally would take one hour and forty minutes, took us twice as long as we traveled to Ohio this past weekend. There was one itty bitty stretch of road that only had one lane. That meant that a 4 lane highway had to merge down to one lane. It had traffic backed up for 10 miles. I am so glad I was in an air conditioned vehicle.
