Mill City Press Publishes for Authors

I know a few people who are great writers. I love to read the things they write. I try to encourage them to send their things to a publisher but they are apprehensive. I didn't understand why until I started looking into the problem. It seems that publishing companies make the money while the author only makes a small amount. If an author happens to have best seller, then the author can make a lot of money. That is not the norm. Often there are more small time authors who write great books. Books that we never get to read because they don't want to lose their one chance at the big time offer.

Authors need to check out http://www.MillCityPress.net. Mill City Press has set out to change things. The want the author to be the one making money from their creation. They strive to charge a fair price to publish the book. They also charge a reasonable price to list the author's book so the public can purchase it.

We all benefit from such a generous company. The author makes 100% of the royalties for their creation and the public gets to enjoy reading their book!

Skating on the Sidewalk

When I was around elementary school age, probably 9 through 11 or there abouts, I could not wait to get my roller skates on and get moving! These were the old metal skates that had a key so you could adjust them to fit your shoes. One of us kids would ride our bicycle and the other would hang onto the rope that was tied under the seat of the bicycle. The bicycle rider rode as fast as they could while the skater hung on for dear life. LOL Our skates made a clicking noise when we went over the cracks in the sidewalk. I had long hair and wore it in a ponytail most of the time. When I was on those skates, my pony tail was flying in the wind. Fun times.

Paris Reformed

It sounds as if Paris Hilton learned a good lesson. I believe her. She could be blowing hot air but I think she was sincere in what she said during her interview with Larry King. We shall see. At least she knows that the law means business.

Happy Dogs

I am so glad to have the puppies home from the doggie hotel. I know they probably don't really like to go but it keeps them safe. We tried having someone come over to care for them while we are gone but it is risky with our two little escape artists. Elsie seems to have a mark on her neck though. I'm not sure if is from flea bites or if she just dug at herself because she isn't used to wearing a collar. I'm checking with fleascontrol.com to see what advice they have.

Embroidery

I am so excited! I will be attending an embroidery seminar in two weeks. My sister attended one of these and she had such a good time. They give away a lot of freebies too so that makes it extra special.

Oldest Car Shakes Up What I've Been Taught

Did you know that Henry Ford did not invent the first automobile? I had no idea. First they add planets to what I learned in elementary school and now they tell me Henry didn't invent the automobile. Sigh. I just don't know what to believe anymore. World's Oldest Car is for sale.

Families Should Have Fun

I am so sad when I hear how families struggle with helping their children learn. It doesn't have to be like that. Innovative Tutor instruction through Score Learning Centers is a much better way. Let their expertise bring your family back to the happy place it used to be. Their tutors are trained with tips on how to help your child succeed. That makes everyone happy.

Walk Fast

Ok, it is salad from here on out. My obsession with ice cream has got to stop. My clothes are becoming tight and I am struggling to breath.

Why does vacation do this to us? I thought because I was walking so much that this weight gain wouldn't happen. I guess I needed to be walking faster than what I was doing while playing putt putt golf! Who would have thought it?

Sandals In Distress

We have really enjoyed ourselves here at Elizabeth City, NC. I have walked off everything I've eaten while on this vacation. Yesterday was spent in the ocean. I got a bit burned and got my new sandals pretty dirty. I found a coupon code for Payless so I'm going to order another pair. I love those sandals!

I am so glad that I have gotten into the habit of looking for coupons. They have saved me so much money. At Keepcash.com they update their latest coupons and product deals everyday. I know that I'm going to be able to find the latest deal when I go there first.
