Dogs

These are pictures of my dogs. They are pretty sweet and I enjoy watching them when they are out in the yard. They mosey around and sniff out all the bugs and bird poop. You know, being typical dogs, how they have to root around and look for gross stuff. Elsie is checking out the pond to see if there are any frogs she can try to catch. Brody was laying under the swing and for once was being still.

Spread the Word

I hope to gain everyone's attention to a special fund raiser for a special person. Tawn Mastery, who some may recognize as the talented dj from Sirius radio, is in need. For years she interviewed the biggest names in rock and metal music. Her spirited character gave pleasure to many listeners. Now, Tawn needs help.

Her sister, Cara, is trying to organize a concert to raise money needed for a transplant operation. The details have not been ironed out but in the mean time it is important to get the word out. Hopefully, people will come forward to help with this big undertaking. A portion of the proceeds will be going to the American Transplant Foundation to raise awareness for donors. Tawn has been filming a documentation of her experience dealing with the disease.

To give encouragement, help and/or funds, please contact Cara Mastery at

BetterWorld.com

Wouldn't you feel good about yourself if you knew that every time you bought a book, your purchase would fund literacy programs around the world and create jobs with health care in Mishawaka, Indiana? BetterWorld.com is not in business for monetary profit. They are concerned that their sales result in social, environmental, and economic "profits".

This online bookstore has an actual inventory. In fact, they have over two million used books. The shipping is free so don't have to worry about that expense. The shipping fee to international customers is minimal.

BetterWorld.com is the first online bookstore with mandatory Carbon Neutral Shipping. This is to offset the global warming pollution produced in shipping a book. It only adds 2-5 cents per book. This company is trying to help the world in a lot of ways!

BetterWorld.com has raised over $2 Million for literacy. They have funded many worthwhile scholarship programs and are involved in getting books to people. They have been involved in rebuilding the New Orleans Public Library.

This is a company I want to give my business. Buying my books is going to help people when I buy them through BetterWorld.com.

Taxes

Well, it is almost time to pay those nasty quarterly taxes again. When you are self employed you are supposed to set money aside just as if you were getting a paycheck. Like that is going to happen in this house! So we will take from here and there and send that nasty check in to Uncle Sam. I wish I could kick him out of the family!

Help Kids Learn

When kids have trouble learning it can make a whole family feel frustrated. A home needs to be a sanctuary for kids. It should be a place where they can come home and unwind and feel unconditional love. When evenings are spent with heads over school work that can't even be seen because of tears, it is time to find someone to help. Math Tutors from Score Learning Centers are trained to help kids learn. They have the skills to set them on the right path. Don't look back at years of frustration. Instead, get help and enjoy your kids.

Anti Slam Protection

Yesterday I got an email saying my long distance carrier had been changed. That made me mad because I use the anti slam program that is supposed to prevent carriers from stealing your account from the carrier you want to be with. So I called them. We will see if it does any good.

The whole purpose of an anti slam program is so I don't have to waste my time going back and forth checking to see who handles our long distance billing. I suppose it doesn't really matter since we use our cell phones because we don't incur any long distance fees when we use them.

Edited: The guy at the anti slam center said that the email I sent was bogus. As in fake. Yep. Someone trying to get information from me. Yikes. They are getting better and better at looking official.

PayPerPost Secures $7 Million Dollars

PayPerPost lets no dust settle! They are going to be so big that it is unfathomable. I am so excited to be part of a revolution! Yes, PayPerPost is exceeding all my expectations! They are going to be so big that it is unfathomable. TedMurphy, the guy in the picture and the CEO of PayPerPost, just secured $7 million dollars in venture capital money! That money is going to allow him to expand and put into place everything he can dream up to make PayPerPost desirable to advertisers and the most popular way to advertise.

The more advertisers we get that want us Posties to write ads for them the better it will be. There will be enough ads for all of us to write. As PayPerPost gets more popular in the advertising world, the cost of an ad will increase and that means we Posties will make more money for each ad we write!

Woo hoo! Thanks Ted for using money to make more money! I love making money by writing ads for advertisers who use PayPerPost!

My Friend Has a Blog

I am so excited that I was able to help my friend Tina get her new blog up and running. Check out Tina's Treasured Thoughts and give her a welcome to the blogging world! Bluehost was so easy to use. I was very apprehensive because my other blog is on it's own domain but it sure wasn't easy getting there.
