I've been having fun listening to our choir director talk about the new stuff he is doing with all of his music. He is in a band that has gone to New Orleans and performed. I heard a song on the radio today that reminded me of the Johnny Cash movie that told the story of his way up the ladder to success. This song was called Big Fat Mouth or something like that. Does it seem like the kids are going to school later and later into the summer months? One of our school corporations ended school for the summer last Thursday and one ended yesterday, June 7. I wouldn't think much about it but it seems to me that they start earlier each year too. August 18 sounds so early. I think kids should get to have fun and not worry about school. We always went back to school on September 3rd. We said that was our Mom's birthday present because September 3rd is her birthday.

My poor little Elsie got closed in the shed this morning! I knew she was not here when she normally comes running to get my left over cereal milk that I poor into the dogs dishes. I clank the spoon and she comes running. I was so afraid she had gotten out of the fence. She will go for miles and not come when you call her.
